Rediscovering Health Through Nutritional Therapy

In a world where quick fixes and fad diets dominate headlines, true health often feels elusive. But what if the key to wellbeing isn't found in the latest trend, but in understanding your own body?

I believe that your body communicates its needs through various signs and symptoms, and my role will be to help you understand and respond to these signals.

Nutritional therapy isn't about restrictive diets or one-size-fits-all solutions. It's a journey of discovery – uncovering how different foods and lifestyle choices affect your energy, mood, and overall well being. Together, we'll translate your body's signals into actionable steps towards lasting health.

Whether you're grappling with persistent health issues or simply aiming to feel your best, nutritional therapy offers a path forward. It's not just about what you eat – it's about how you live, sleep, move, and manage stress. It's about seeing your health as an interconnected system and nurturing it holistically.

Curious about what your body is trying to tell you? Get on my list to find out when my practice open so we can work together to decode its messages and boost your health.

What My Approach Will Look Like: The Foundations of Health

My approach will be built on what Nutritional Therapy calls "The Foundations of Health." These are the cornerstones of wellness that, when properly supported, allow health to flow naturally. They include:

1

Nutrient-Dense Diet

Whole, thoughtfully prepared, foods are a source of joy and nourish the body with the nutrients it needs to thrive.

2

Optimal Digestion

What we eat has little impact if we can’t digest and absorb the nutrients. Proper digestive function is essential for the health of every cell and system.

3

Blood Sugar Regulation

From energy balance, metabolism, and inflammation to hormone production and mental health, blood sugar regulation is crucial to maintaining wellness.

4

Quality Sleep

Adequate, quality sleep is essential for optimal physiological and cognitive function.

5

Stress Management

We cannot always control our stressors, but managing our response to stress has profoundly positive physical and mental impacts on health.

When these foundations are strong and balanced, they create a synergy that allows your body to thrive naturally. Think of them as the roots of a tree—when nourished properly, they support vibrant growth above.

My role will be to help you understand and strengthen these foundations in a way that's tailored to your unique body and lifestyle. Together, we'll explore how each of these areas impacts your health and develop strategies to optimize them.

This approach won't be about quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions. It will be about creating a robust foundation for lasting health, giving your body the support it needs to function at its best.

My Path to Nutritional Therapy

My journey into nutritional therapy began when I hit rock bottom, in the depths of postpartum depression, rage, and anxiety. After 15 long months of struggling severely with postpartum mood issues, I just knew I couldn't remain there forever and that something had to change. That is when i sought out a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner of my own.

For years, I grappled with inexplicable fatigue and digestive issues that left me feeling disconnected from my own body. Conventional wisdom offered band-aids, not solutions. It wasn't until I stumbled upon nutritional therapy that the pieces started falling into place.

The change wasn't overnight, but it was profound. As I learned to tune into my body's needs and respond with targeted nutrition and lifestyle changes, I discovered a level of health and vitality I hadn't thought possible. I had sustained energy throughout the day to keep up with my toddler and my mood was more stable.

This personal transformation ignited a passion to help others navigate their own health puzzles. It led me to the [Nutritional Therapy Association https://nutritionaltherapy.com/ntp/, where I am currently acquiring the skills to translate nutritional science into practical, personalized strategies for my future clients.

When I become Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I will bring more than just knowledge to our sessions – I will bring understanding, empathy, and a commitment to your unique health journey. My approach will be:

- Investigative: We'll dig deep to uncover the root causes of your health concerns, not just mask symptoms

- Personalized: Your plan will be as unique as you are, adapted to your body, lifestyle, and goals

- Evidence-informed: Grounded in current nutritional science, yet flexible enough to honor your body's individual responses

Beyond My Practice

When I'm not working with clients, you might find me spending quality family time, teaching my son how to water our garden, spending time outdoors including walking, paddle boarding, skiing, and more.

I believe in walking the talk – the principles of nutritional therapy aren't just what I want to teach, they're the foundation of how I am continuously learning to live. This firsthand experience will allows me to offer not just theoretical knowledge, but practical insights on integrating healthy habits into busy, modern lives.
